Update 27-5-2012

Hello,

I’m considering going to western NSW to look at the effect of water through the Darling and Menindee Lake systems with the idea of using it to illustrate life, water and light in John’s Gospel. If any of you has any ideas of places to stay or suitable sites to visit, please let me know.

In the meantime, if you are in the Canberra area, I have a show up at the National Australian Botanic Gardens. See this link for details: http://www.anbg.gov.au/gardens/whatson/exhibitions/2012-scrolls/Scrolls-2012.html

Fiona.

Newcastle Launch Reminder

Hello,

There are two events this weekend for the launch of The Scrolls in Newcastle. You’re invited to come along to either or both.

Please note that the dinner previously planned for Friday night is not happening, however, we may informally have dinner on Darby Street straight after the Cook’s Hill launch.

illustrated by Fiona Pfennigwerth

Cooks Hill Galleries 67 Bull Street 2–5pm on Saturday 29 October 2011

Q&A Mark Widdup and the artist Fiona will show us how and why a composition is developed by using several of the images. Ross Pfennigwerth, will give us an insight into Fiona’s preparatory work and effort – with an understanding of what it is like to lose your wife for 7 years! Fiona then will sign her publication, with a personalised inscription, a laugh and a story for each book purchased for $35. Afternoon wine and nibbles

Note: this afternoon’s proceedings and launch will be recorded on a DVD. Do come and be part of this wonderful afternoon of art, religious insights and social networking.
